Jamie is a happy, adorable four-year-old. He lives on a farm and loves playing with his pet lamb Chico. Jamie has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) – a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. He has had to have a lot of time having intense chemotherapy which makes him very sick and means he spends lots of time in hospital
Jamie is currently receiving maintenance chemotherapy every day, double dose every Wednesday, IV chemotherapy. He has to have lots of procedures including lumbar punctures, cannulations, and a Nasal Gastric Tube insertion (a tube that goes via his nose into his tummy to give him food and medication). Jamie goes into a trance when he has any treatment especially the nasal gastric and cannulation it’s so traumatic for him it’s heartbreaking holding him down for so many procedures that he needs to treat his cancer. He is super brave and needs to know if it’s going to hurt so he can prepare for it and know what’s happening.
Jamie loves aeroplanes, rockets, diggers, dump trucks, puppies. He enjoys playing with his puppy Skye (off paw patrol). Jamie’s favourite foods are fish & chips and beef jerky and chicken flavoured chips. He loves play dough and painting. He enjoys playing with animals.Share
