Donating your recyclables is an easy way to support Communified, and help save the environment! Thanks to the Containers for Change scheme, your refund for eligible containers can be donated directly to Communified, to help change the lives of local children who are living with a serious illness or disability.

How does it work?

In WA, the Containers for Change scheme now gives a 10 cent refund for every eligible container you return.

Eligible containers include most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers, although milk and wine bottles are excluded. The easiest way to check is to look for the refund mark on the container. If you’re unsure, you can use the container eligibility checker.

Ways to donate

Local collectors

We are growing a team of volunteers to collect containers in their local areas and deliver them to the nearest Containers for Change recycling point. So far, we have collectors in the following areas:

  • Greenwood
  • Kenwick
  • Roleystone

If you’d like to join our collection team, please get in touch! It’s easy to get started – just ask your neighbours if they have any items for recycling, or try putting a post out on your local community Facebook group. Then simply take them to your nearest Containers for Change collection point and quote our scheme ID – C10367610

Or if we already have a collector in your area, please contact us to arrange collection.
